Some casino staffs were told to leave, because...

{ 2:03 AM }

Casino regulatory authority(CRA)
Resorts World sentosa (RWS)
Marina Bay sands( MBS)

Casino staffs were fired just because they had offended the laws when they were previously young. Despite going through all the hurdles of trainings both local and overseas, under the CRA guidelines, people who had criminal records of dishonesty, blatant disregard to law would be fired.

Some employees eventually resigned from their previous occupation and joined IR industry, and now, sadly, they are jobless, just because they had undecent records.

One 26 year old coupier was fired because he committed a shoplifting at the tender age of 14.
Another one who named Daniel, was told to leave because he sold fake DVD at the young age of 14.

Yes. We all do agree they make mistakes. However, does that mean that CRA should not give an opportunity for these kind lads to turn over a new leaf? I do believe everybody should entitled a second chance. Yes. We also agree that the casino industry involves loads of money, and it is of prior importance that the coupier are honest, but this doesn't imply those without a criminal report wouldn't steal the money.

Feeling a little better. I feel!!!

{ 10:59 PM }

Imagine that in the last week, you:
tattooed your arms and legs
thumped your neighbour
got married
robbed a bank
donated a kidney
devoured a huge pizza
leaped off a very high bridge

oh well, you have a busy week, but the question is : What do each of the above have in common?

ANS: These are all things that you might do to feel happier. Really! In fact, its a "trick" question becuase I could have put everything on the list. The motivation behind everything you do- and of course the motivation behind everything everybody does- ---is to feel better.

Perhaps, you may not take my word for it. Ask a psychologist or read Plato, Aristotle and Sigmund Freud. There is a lot of debate about the meaning of life. There is a broad agreement about why we do what we do. We want to be happy and stay happy.

You devoured a pizza in less than 3 mins. Your thought might be:"WHoa,, fantastic! this feels good, and I m happy now."

You hired a personal trainer and eat lettuce for 6 months. Your aim is, I want to like my butt and this will make me feel happier.

You quit drinking. WHY? Your mentality will answer: If I do this, I will feel better.

YOU SEE this "If I do this, I will feel better"...

Different people do different things, but the objctive remains the same,---If I do this, I will feel better.

You studied business for 4 years to please your dad. You said:"I did this to make him happy"... Well, nope, you didn't. You do it because you feel better what he wants than you would feel doing what you want.

Whether you sacrifice for your kids, whether you marry or you divorce, whether you get a tattoo or join the priesthood. The ultimate goal still remains the same. Even if you leaped off a very high bridge, it is an attempt to feek better------ I'll be happier dead than alive.

Mental strain

{ 5:33 AM }

Mental Strain

It really upsets me when I went to school for 2 hours of lessons. SOmetimes, worse, 1 hour. My CCA starts at 17 30, my school ends at 1230. I have six hours of daydreaming. Though Albert Enistein stressed that imagination is essential, however, six hours is too much.

Daily assignments... daily matching... daily grumbles... Life is so monotonous. I have no choice. Looking at my tons of notes and books. I felt like burning them. Well, life is so much about balancing, discipline, development and of course, future!!!!!!

I just so tired.!!!!

Acceptance is power

{ 7:29 PM }

Acceptance:

On a bicycle ride around the world, My friend , Malek, a great traveller, stopped awhile in a West African Village to help build a bakery.

He said: "It took us several months to build the bakery. We made th bricks from crushed anthills. Everyday the village children came to offer help. None of them had shoes but one happy little guy always wore one sock( and no shoes), just a sock. he was 10 years old. I called him ONE SOCK."

Eventually my curiousity got the better of me. I said:" One sock, tell me about this sock you always wear."

He said proudly: " My mum washes it every night. I wear it everyday."

Malek said:" yes. why do you wear one?"

He seemed surprised by Malek's silly question, and then, he smiled broadly and said ,: BECAUSE I ONLY HAVE ONE...

When Malek shared with me his story, I was pretty embarrassed, even a ten year old kid in african village can think broader than a city boy.

Perhaps you are broke right now. Perhaps you had lost your job or even lost your loved one. Maybe, you are sick. You will say: "I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO".

Well, heres the first thing we need to do, WE ACCEPT WHERE WE ARE.

To turn things around you first make peace with your situation. Forget about the blame, forget about guilt, forget about "what if"s. Progress truly dependent on acceptance. Acceptance doesn't mean I want to stay here.

Acceptance means : "This is where I am--and I move on to what I want"

Instead of, " My husband is a gorilla and I'm stuck with him", it is more like , "My husband is a gorilla, What a perfect learning experience! I now realise I deserve a better treatment".

Instead of "I've lost al my money. If only I hadn't invest anything with Shaw Brothers", you should say ,:" I am where I am. I made it once, I'll make it again".

Imagine you are overweight and you want to become thin. If you say:

1) I'm not fat
2)Its my mother's fault that I am fat
3) My sister is fatter

What happens after all this? Will this slim you down? LOL... You stay fat.

However, heres another option:
1) I am fat. I like myself whether or not I'm fat. I now choose to lose 50 kg. You accept where you are. Now you can move forward.

2) Acceptance isn't giving up. Acceptance is recognition that, "this is a part of my journey." Very often it means, "Right now I have no idea why this had to be a part of my journey but I embrace it anyway."

One moment in time

{ 6:17 AM }

Hi. Everyone. Personally, I thinks that the profile doesn't serve a purpose of knowing me more. So, yea, Most of my dear friends do..

One moment in time! I came across this phrase when I was attending the Kairos Programme( retained students programme)... It was like sort of inspiring when it came to me... Most importantly, without doubt, there are therapy sessions.

I also noticed one of the trainer's name, LIN QI LIN (unicorn), gosh, I wonder who would call their children unicorn???

Maybe, not all readers would find this song neither inspiring nor interesting, well, it just matter to different people.

WELL... I shall announce, this public blog is officially opened!!!! for PUBLIC READERS..
